Shipment Processing Time

All orders are processed and shipped within 2-3 business days (Monday-Friday). Orders are not processed, shipped, or delivered on weekends or major holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, processing may be delayed by a few days. After processing, please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If we anticipate a significant delay in processing or shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. We offer free shipping on orders over $75 to the contiguous United States* with the exception of some Oversized Packages. To qualify for free shipping, the order total must be $75+ after any discounts from coupons and before any taxes (if applicable).

*We do not offer free shipping to addresses in Alaska and Hawaii.

Typically, delivery takes 2-7 business days depending on your location! If you’re just down the road from us in Alabama, you will receive your order much more quickly than if you live across the country from us in California. This is why you will receive a tracking number when we ship your order so you can keep an eye on your order’s progress as it makes its way across the states!

Delivery delays can occasionally occur.

Shipment to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO Addresses

Piper & Leaf Tea Co. ships to addresses within the U.S., U.S. Territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses. There may be additional charges for shipping to a P.O. box.

Shipment Confirmation, Order Tracking, & “Pre-Shipment”

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email when we have shipped your order.

Your tracking number(s) will be included in the Shipment Confirmation email. The tracking number may take a few days to activate. If your tracking link does not work after 5 days, please let us know and we’ll contact the carrier to get it fixed!

If the tracking data still says “Pre-Shipment” after 5 days from receiving your Shipment Confirmation email, please let us know. We will contact the carrier to inquire about the package. Sometimes this occurs when a package has not been properly scanned at one of the carrier’s shipping hubs. This means the package may be moved to another shipping hub or even delivered before there is an update to the tracking information. After 14 days past the Shipment Confirmation email (if there are still no changes to the tracking information), contact us as we may be able to ship you a replacement. This waiting period allows us time to be reasonably certain the original package will not be delivered.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Piper & Leaf Tea Co. is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).


Piper & Leaf Tea Co. sells many fragile items, which are sometimes damaged in shipping. We request that you report damaged product(s) to us within 48 hours of delivery. Do not discard the damaged item(s) OR its packaging. If you fail to report damages within this time frame, we will not be able to file a claim with the carrier, which means we cannot accept responsibility for the damages.

For damage claims, send an email to stating:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • Description of the damage
  • Photos* of the damage

*You must include pictures of the product and the packaging (including the shipping box) to complete a damage claim. Please keep the original packaging of the product as it may be needed to complete a damage investigation with the carrier.

Missing Packages

A package is considered missing after 7 days past the expected delivery date (you can find this date with your order’s tracking number). We can file a missing package claim on your behalf after this waiting period. A missing package claim cannot be filed more than 30 days past the expected delivery date! 

If your package has not arrived and it is 7-30 days past the expected delivery date, contact us and we will file a missing package claim with the carrier on your behalf. It may take a few days for the carrier to confirm if the package was lost in transit or sent to the wrong location, so your patience in this matter is greatly appreciated. We will do our best to keep you updated throughout the package investigation process.

Once the package investigation is concluded, we will be able to reroute your package to the correct address (if it has been found) or ship you a replacement (if it is truly lost).

For missing package claims, send an email to stating:

  • Order Number
  • Your full shipping address (including apt/bldg #, city, zip code, and any special delivery instructions you may have given)

International Shipping Policy

We currently do not ship outside the U.S.
