Piper & Leaf Tea Co. started as a little booth selling compost at a farmer’s market back in 2013. We've come a long way since the days of compost but one thing that hasn't changed is our love for markets! We continue to attend several local markets throughout the year. We love how the community comes together to support local businesses and family farms through events like farmer’s markets and craft fairs!

When we acquired our Lacey’s Spring location (a.k.a. “The Farm”) back in 2020, we knew that this property would open up the opportunity for us to pursue our dream of hosting a market of our own. And so, we did! Shortly after we opened the shop, we started hosting a monthly market and the support from vendors and customers was so encouraging! We enjoyed a variety of vendors, food trucks, and musicians as well as the company of amazing shoppers from all over Morgan County and Madison County.

The Piper & Leaf Maker’s Market was established in 2021 with the purpose of bringing our community together to share in the labors of local artisans, farmers, musicians and more. Our goal with the Maker’s Market is to connect local artisans and family farms with the surrounding community. By providing a venue for local artisans, farmers, and musicians, the Maker’s Market brings energy and excitement to the Lacey’s Spring and the surrounding areas. 

In 2021 we also hosted a one- day Holiday Market which was a huge success! We hosted over 35 vendors who displayed their farms’ honey, shared their freshly baked bread, ignited our senses with wonderful candles, and so much more! The market grew greater than we expected, we soon ran out of parking!

This year, we have made several adjustments in order to provide the community with access to beautiful handcrafted, artisanal goods, fresh produce, meats, and good eats. We are looking forward to what this Market season has in store! During our Markets we offer tours of the Farm, special-tea drinks curated just for the market, activities for the kids, and much, much more!
