Our Impact
How we are trying to be good stewards of what we've been given
We are into Re-using & Composting
We've been steeped in compost since the beginning of this journey.

Non-GMO, Compostable Tea Bags
Our tea bags are compostable! The filter material is made from 100% non-GMO Sugar Cane plants.
They not only look and function beautifully, they also nourish the soil when their use as a tea bag is complete.

Refillable Jars
Since the early days, we’ve sold glass mason jars of iced tea at the farmers markets. These jars can be brought back to our shops and market booths for discounted refill prices – cheaper than buying a plastic cup!
We do this to encourage sustainable practices and reduce plastic waste. Now, we've taken it a step further: when you purchase a new mason jar from us, we include a reusable metal straw as well!

Composting it All
Thankfully, spent tea leaves and coffee grounds make fantastic compost. We compost all this waste from our stores, as well as the leftovers from our production process.
Here's a fun bit of P&L History: When we first started using branded cups, we wanted to keep with our tradition of composting, so we bought compostable plastic cups. Unfortunately, they kept melting at the summer farmers markets we attended, and it was confusing for folks to not be able to recycle the cups, so we switched to recyclable cups.
Adoption & Fostering Initiatives
Each year we support fostering and adoption initiatives. We are touched by the example of fostering and adoption in the lineage of our Savior as well as the offer for each of us to be adopted by our heavenly father. Our own family has been shaped and forged through adoption. We are grateful and thankful for each crazy member of this wild family.
We strive to donate a minimum of 10% of the profits we have been blessed with every year to support organizations and families working to love incredible people.
