A Small Town Tea Subscription Goes National
There are moments in running a small family business that leave you completely humbled, and this is certainly one of them. When we received an email about being nominated for USA Today’s 10BEST Readers' Choice Awards for Best Tea Subscription, we didn’t believe it was real! After a little fact-checking (and maybe reading the email a few more times than we'd like to admit), we realized it really was true. Our little tea company in Lacey's Spring, Alabama is listed alongside some of the biggest names in the tea industry.
We never imagined that the tea subscription we created would one day be recognized on a national stage, and we couldn't be more grateful. While this nomination is exciting for our family, we believe it shines a spotlight on everyone who has helped build Piper & Leaf - from the farmers who grow our ingredients to the customers who have shared our tea for years.

Tea of the Month Club
If you love trying new teas, our Tea of the Month Club is made for you.
You choose your preferred steeping style, loose leaf or tea bags, and let us know whether you enjoy caffeinated teas, herbal blends, or a mix of both. Then, each month, we surprise you with one of our handcrafted blends.
Maybe you'll discover a new favorite like Sunrise Chai or Sassyfrass Strawberry, or perhaps you'll fall in love with a blend you never would have picked for yourself. Every delivery is designed to feel like a little tea party arriving at your doorstep, bringing something fresh to brew and enjoy.
The 3 Steeps a Week Club
Our second subscription is a little different because it focuses just as much on the experience as the tea itself. Each week, subscribers receive a thoughtfully designed letter delivered through good old-fashioned snail mail. Every letter has its own unique theme and encourages three intentional moments throughout the week to brew a cup of tea, take a break from the stresses of life for a moment, and enjoy something special.
Because life moves so quickly, it's easy to let the days blur together. We created the 3 Steeps a Week Club because we believe tea creates opportunities to reconnect with the people around us and appreciate ordinary moments that often become our favorite memories.
This Recognition Belongs to North Alabama
Although our name appears on the nomination, this recognition belongs to an entire community. Piper & Leaf began at a local farmers market with a simple goal: brew great tea using natural, locally sourced ingredients and support the people around us. Every customer who has stopped by one of our tea shops, every online order, every mason jar refilled at a local market, and every farmer who has grown ingredients for our blends has helped make this possible.
We were even invited to share this story during a recent interview with FOX54, and one of our favorite parts of the conversation was getting to talk about the people behind every cup. Whenever Piper & Leaf receives national attention, it's also an opportunity to shine a light on our local farmers, our hometown, and the community that has helped us grow over the years.
Perhaps most importantly, this recognition helps expand a mission that has been part of Piper & Leaf from the very beginning. Through your support, we're able to donate at least 10% of our annual profits to local fostering and adoption initiatives, helping families throughout our community.
